For the case of a circular silo with central point source the prooles of the standing and rolling layers are explicitly computed. The computed shapes agree qualitatively with experimental observations and seem better justiied than results with constant speed of the rolling layer.

Bag silos made at three research farms in 2000 and 2001 were monitored at filling and emptying to determine densities and losses.
